Summer in the Park San Marcos 2026 Returns to Plaza Park

Every summer, thousands of residents and visitors gather in downtown San Marcos for one of the city’s most loved traditions — Summer in the Park. Originally launched decades ago as a local concert series, the event has gradually evolved into a major community tradition that brings together families, students, musicians, local businesses, and visitors from across Central Texas.

In 2026, the Summer in the Park concert series returns once again to Plaza Park in the heart of downtown San Marcos with another exciting lineup of free Thursday night concerts throughout the summer.

For many locals, the event represents far more than live music alone. Instead, Summer in the Park reflects everything people love about living in San Marcos:

  • Community gatherings
  • Outdoor living
  • Local music culture
  • Family-friendly entertainment
  • Texas Hill Country lifestyle
  • Evenings along the San Marcos River

At the Walker Texas Team, we are proud to celebrate our 18th year sponsoring this incredible community event.
